Welcome back to SPU whether you are a frequent visitor or coming back after time away.
With this update we've gone back to basics. We are a dedicated forum for surf photographers and film makers to discus equipment, technique and business. Also new is an updated buy and sell section that will become the go to place to trade equipment.
As with all updates there will be issues so please let me know if something is not working and I'll do my best to get the issue resolved.

In the wake of John Mozo’s death at Backdoor a flood of e-mails permeated the surf photography community. Soon a blog was formed that then became the United Surf Photographers International (USPI) forum in 2006. The forum grew to have over 200 members while another similar forum, Surf Photographers Forum (SPF) in Australia grew simultaneously. Rather than business SPF’s focus was on the general discussion of surf photography as an art.

The creators of these two forums merged their efforts to bring you Surf Photographers United. Our goal is to foster communication, camaraderie, and community among our ranks. We currently have over 6 hundred members from 13 countries.

Browsing some sections of the site is free however to view members only sections such as images postings and critiques and business discussion a membership subscription is required. SPU subscription fee is $10 per year.
